MyTalk! is a Java-based program similar to UNIX's talk. It allows two people to initiate a chat session on a network. It's a relatively simple client/server program with a user interface. The conversation takes place in near real-time.

• Version 3.00 is available. The new version requires Java 1.5.

September 26th, 2004.

• Version 2.10 is available.

MyTalk! requires JRE1.5 for execution and JDK1.5 for compilation.

MyTalk! has been tested successfully on a variety of operating systems, including FreeBSD 5.2.1, FreeBSD 5.5, Mac OS 10.2.8, Solaris 9, and Windows XP. The download includes the source code and the JAR file.
